Legacy filename hijsoog.htm ("lifting eye" in Dutch) and the classification CSV's copied title ("Glijlager slijtage berekening", from e4_4.htm) both misdescribe this page. The actual source computes a statically loaded fillet weld, not a bearing or a lifting eye — named and categorized here for its real content.

The computation is a literal port of the original client-side JavaScript from /calculators/hijsoog.htm. Results are verified equal to the original by an automated golden-master test. No formula has been re-derived or “improved”.
