This privacy policy explains what personal data Engineering ABC collects when you create an account or use the website, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

Engineering ABC is a brand of Tribos, the sole proprietorship of Anton van Beek (founded 1996) and publisher of the book Advanced Engineering Design. Tribos is the data controller for your personal data.

What data we collect

• Account data: your email address and an encrypted password.
• Consent: whether and when you agreed to this policy and the terms.
• Technical data: functional cookies needed to keep you signed in.

What we use it for

• To create your account and give you access to downloads and tools.
• To contact you about relevant updates, if you gave consent for that.

The legal basis is your consent and the performance of our agreement with you.

Where your data is stored

Your account data is stored with our processor Supabase, on servers within the European Union. The website runs on Vercel.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we delete your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and the right to withdraw your consent. You can delete your account and data yourself via My account → Delete account, or email us. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

We only use functional cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not place tracking or advertising cookies.
