Gear Normal Module (m) — Preferred Number Series
The standard preferred-number series for the normal module (m) of cylindrical (spur/helical) gears, in millimetres, preserved from werktuigbouw.nl.
Series 1 is preferred; series 2 is used only when a series 1 value doesn’t suit the design. Values are in millimetres.
Used alongside the ISO 6336 flank-strength calculator and other gear calculators when selecting a standard module.
