Equivalent dynamic bearing load
Equivalent dynamic bearing load P for a single-row deep-groove ball bearing under combined radial and axial load, from the SKF e/X/Y factor tables for Normal/C3/C4 radial clearance.
Factor, f₀F_a/C₀0
Factor, e0.19
Factor, X1
Factor, Y0
Equivalent dynamic bearing load, P = XF_r+YF_a1 kN
Valid for f₀F_a/C₀ < 6.89, the extent of the underlying SKF table.
Method & references
- If purely radially loaded, P = F_r. For a deep-groove ball bearing, P = F_r as long as F_a/F_r < e; if F_a/F_r > e, P = XF_r+YF_a with e, X, Y from the SKF factor table (function of f₀F_a/C₀).
- A larger-than-normal radial clearance (C3, C4) trades radial clearance for reduced sensitivity to axial load.
- Example defaults correspond to deep-groove ball bearing 16004 (SKF).
